Re: Multi Line Text Messaging Input Box
Sorry for such a seemingly easy question, but I tried the search. I created a copy on my laptop with a modified thread_sms.htm to do this tweak. However, I'm unable to overwrite the existing file on the touch pro as it is "protected". I can't change the read-only setting on the original version on the pro (as viewed with windows explorer) on the laptop. Can't delete or rename the original file on the device either.
Do I need one of these editors on the handheld? I'd really prefer to just edit files on my laptop and then copy to device. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

I am in the right windows directory (accessing via USB on laptop), and can see the file to be updated. However, I can't change the read only properties on this file via Windows Explorer, nor can I overwrite it with a copy /edited version via notepad. This file is write protected beyond what I can alter with windows explorer. XP machine if it matters. I've seen some references to total commander....does it have more "power" to overlay these types of protected files? Thanks. |

Re: Multi Line Text Messaging Input Box
dude; copy the file to the sd and transfer it to your pc/lappy. There; in your pc/lappy you make the changes via note pad* copy back to sd & then overwrite the file in windows with Resco or else* resco is da man
