I don't think your response was directed at me...but if it was...
I am in the right windows directory (accessing via USB on laptop), and can see the file to be updated. However, I can't change the read only properties on this file via Windows Explorer, nor can I overwrite it with a copy /edited version via notepad. This file is write protected beyond what I can alter with windows explorer. XP machine if it matters.
I've seen some references to total commander....does it have more "power" to overlay these types of protected files?
