If you're talking about the very first screenshot, that's just a screenshot of the Start Menu if you use the full package with large icons rather than tweaks only.

Start\Settings\Connections\USB to PC

Choose "Active Sync" or "Disk Drive".
Check "Ask about connection type when I connect". This will make it ask you each time, but if you don't answer it will automatically go to the last one you chose.

what is the "tweaks only" package include? I guess it is just a little vague or I"m reading something wrong.

One thing I'm curious about - the Start menu used to give icon shortcuts at the top to any of the recent programs I launched. It doesn't seem to do that anymore, the programs are always the same, oddly enough one or two are my installs but they never are replaced.

Is there some adjustment to bring this back, some setting I haven't found? Thanks.

Hi,

I am having the same problem as Nagual, no icons on the start menu. I also have one other, when I go to Programs in the Start menu, I get a blank screen. I see now how to copy and create short cuts to these programs so they show up in the Start/Program list, which was empty after I did the clean-up. Now, I see on the #-D flow Programs windows all teh other programs are listed except for the Sprint stuff (telnav, Sprint TV), they are not listed under All Programs (which gives you a launch programs screen) or when I want to add these sprint and other programs to that Touch Flo Programs screen. Anyway to add these?

I installed the one I wanted now I have multiple folders.

Windows Live Mobile
Windows Live Mobile (1)
Windows Live Mobile (2)

How do I get rid of the extra folders?

"Recent Programs" is what you're referring to, and unfortunately (or rather fortunately in my opinion) it only monitors the "Programs" folder rather than the whole Start Menu. This is explained in the first post in the NOTES section in more detail.

This happens if you don't install it on a "clean" (hard reset) state and you already customized your start menu (or installed something that did). You can use File Explorer to browse to \Windows\Start Menu ... and then do some housecleaning to your preferences.

To all of you guys... all of these questions were answered in the first and second post, and at least a half-dozen posts since. I can understand not wanting to read every post since there's a lot here now, but the first two posts have the details, so make sure you guys read carefully, OK?

I have no problem helping, but I really don't like being a broken record.

Now just to be clear... the Programs folder is empty because everything was moved to the Start > **** Mobile folders. If you actually WANT the Sprint stuff, you need to check post 2 for the "Restore Sprint Content" package.

Don't mean to sound cranky, just want you guys to be careful and understand fully what you're getting into... welcome to PPCGeeks and stick around-- there's lots to see, learn, and do!

Tweaks Only is ALL of the tweaks / configurations described in detail in the very first post EXCEPT for the Start Menu cleanup. Short answer-- battery/usability/performance tweaks that are known-good.
