If you use an Exchange Server with Outlook 2003/2007 for your email, ActiveSync can sync over the air with your data plan without needing to plug in.

As for not recommending DirectPush, my reasons are two-fold... preserving battery life primarily, but also because I don't believe anyone is so important (save maybe for national security) that they can't wait a few minutes to get their messages (or hit Send/Receive themselves). If something is urgent, email probably isn't the best method to communicate it anyway, lol.

Re: Touch Pro Cleanup (Sprint Edition)

Thanks! I agree with both the (lack of) urgency and battery saving issues. I don't know if its appropriate to continue this discussion on this thread, but how do you set it up that way? I set activesynch up through the e-mail set up. We use Outlook and MS exchange server 2003-2007 I have activesync set to manual, but it seems to always show up on the task manager as on a few minutes after I close it. Thanks

David

What else have you installed? What other tweaks did you do before or afterwards? Are you using a custom ROM? Is there anything specific that seems "slow" or that I should look into?

Anything you have in mind that needs included or fixed?

To the both of you, if you're able to be specific about any issues, I'll definitely get those taken care of.

I think I used it with a fresh install of the stock Sprint ROM. I don't think I used any registry tweaks yet. I'll try it again just to make sure.

Re: Touch Pro Cleanup (Sprint Edition)

oh, things like the ATI diamond D3D driver cab, the battery/performance, cabs, and stuff like that. or maybe you found other tweaks that further enhance the performance of touchflo 3D and windows mobile?

sorry for the delayed response too...was on break for a while!

No, unfortunately, that requires manual changing after acquiring your MSL code.

I am definitely considering posting a revised edition with the ATI driver! Maybe this weekend if I get the time to do it. All of the known good battery/performance tweaks are already included, so I don't know what else to add... specific suggestions are welcome!

Re: Touch Pro Cleanup (Sprint Edition)

I really praise you, GT2L for your work on these cabs. Major improvement to the device. MAJOR. I was nervous about installing but am now very glad that I did.

I'll do the color tweaks next.
