How many people have already scuffed up their TP

I've recently been upgraded from a RCC to Tech in my store, so I can do you one better. As of current(maybe just my area), we do not have any refurb/reman TP in stock. Per an email, we are straight(outright) exchanging TP's for drop damage regardless of ins or not. Only if we do not have any instock will we order you one and then you may get a refurb/reman depending on what first available at the warehouse.

DAMN I'm glad they can't find out what store I work for!! LOL

I keep mine in my pocket inside of a bear,bunny,cat,doggie print "sock" for 6mo baby's.. Clean and in excellent condition still.

I bought the Krussell case before I even bought the phone! No drops or scratches yet...

The case covers 3 of the bottom (keyboard) half corners with leather, but not complete coverage.

Is there even a flip-down-style case that covers all corners completely?!? Yes a rhetorical question since I've searched...

Many of the first TPs from the first batch have bad casing....if your esn is in the "list" you will get a new TP. The bad casing are very sensative and will break if dropped more then 5 ft. So go to the repair store and have them check your esn, YOU MIGHT GET A NEW ONE!

I can confirm there is a defect with the chrome as I have a chunk of chrome missing from my phone. I have been very careful and have not dropped or bumped my phone once. I'm guessing it was like that when I got it and I didn't notice for a few days. I don't feel bad about exchanging my phone because the chrome is the least of my problems. If it was just the chrome I wouldn't even bother.

I feel your pain, each time I exchange one out for a corner scuff, it cuts DEEEEEP. Knowing that the customer only wanted it cause it is the latest thing out, wont pay the $7 for ins, but upset and saying we make cheap $600 phones. So I read a lil more behind the email and the reasoning for the exchange policy is the "chrome finish" of the phone. We are taking the hit, IMHO, due to the lost of appearance of such a great phone cause the user was too busy messing around or whateva. I'm not gonna speak on it much cause it p***es me off thinking that I have to work tonight and know I will be exchanging out BRAND NEW TP's not for defective reasons but just because it has a F'N "scratch".

So in short, this is the reason that in most markets the TP is on back order and a true 30 day issue may land you a $600 REFURB/REMAN.

oh funny. so it seems that the other post around here about sprint replacing phones due to damage was correct.. and everyone put them down saying they were lying. Yes its a little wierd and yes I don't understand why they are doing it either but it seems we all have a habit of putting people down and ripping them to shreds when someone posts something a bit out of the ordinary. Perhaps we need to stop that, or we may not get intelligent information like this again.
