I don't agree, what if they came out with red/blue & pink ones??

If they were to come out with a black matte version (or red, blue, or pink) and still keep the chrome one around, that'd be one thing. It's certainly not uncommon for multiple colors of a phone to be released in the name of choice. But the rumor was that they're simply revising the model and changing from a chrome frame to a matte version, and that the chrome would go away. With all the documented complaints about the poor quality on the chrome one, I wouldn't personally buy an argument that they just decided they wanted to have black matte instead of chrome. I would argue that such a revision after such a short time would be a clear sign that they were responding to all of the complaints and the returns with some tacit agreement that the original design was flawed.

Of course, that's just what my argument to them would be. Whether they'd accept it and swap it out is a totally different question. And of course, it's all academic unless we actually see a new version released.

It's one of those things that would be like admitting defeat, but...

If they do a silent upgrade [if anyone comes if for TP problems, just give them the new version] there would be less of a problem.
