I agree. I always thought that tacky chrome was ugly anyway, so I covered it with a black seidio case.

nope. not mine. Nor my wifes. although i have seen a touch out of ten, with chrome peeling. personally i like the elegant look of the phone, but i'd prefer a rubber not slip
case that gave it protection.

that way we dont' see old problems discussed uselessly at the beginning of
the roms thread. All the mods have to do is move the previous version
to a retired area. Is that too much to ask?

Get this! My dad has the AT&T Touch diamond and the black paint around the device (which is metal) is rubbing off leaving metal showing...looks horrible.

It is probably anodized instead of painted.

Anodizing looks super when it is new, but is quite soft & does not hold up well to wear & tear......

Thanks for the info man.

If your phone is within that esn range, I would wait cause you should have a way out. If it isn't then I would return and rebuy. You may even get a better deal when you do anyway.

I had a crack and took it to Sprint and they replace with a new one and no problems. Thanks to this thread and the OP
