I have the Sprint Mogul, and I used to face something like this, I turned off the keypad tone, and that helped a little.
So in the Mogul I go to setting -> phone and from there I choose to turn it off, and I am guessing in the TP it will be almost the same, so check if that work for you. |

Thank you for that idea, but it didn't seem to solve the problem.
When the call is in progress and I press * once, a * character appears on the screen. If I press * again, a "p" appears on the screen. If I press it a third time, a "w" appears on the screen. It seems to me that maybe the "smart dial" software is causing this problem, but I don't know. Can anyone else duplicate this issue or have any other ideas? Thanks again, Joe |

same issue here. heard about the voicemail problem. the P and the W are pause and wait, but no idea on how to disable it. reg edit maybe?

Well one work around is to set up your office VM number in contacts, using comma's for pauses after the phone number is dialed, and adding the ** when required. I even added additional numbers to the sequence to get in to my VM funtions.
At least it is one fix. You will have to fool with the comma's to get the timing down. Hope this helps. By the way the only way you can do this is in outlooks contact functions. The contacts feature on the phone do not allow for the comma's. |

Heh, I used to use that trick to pay my electric bill in Florida... Used to call their support number and then had all the prompts entered in using commas to pause for prompts.
