If it can not detect a signal (RSSI), how do you enable it to detect a signal then?

That is the great question which separates us from a working FM radio. Figure out what must be done to allow for signal to be picked up and used, and then if it can be done on our Touch Pros.

So it is software related? I have almost no knowledge in software, coding, or software-to-hardware interfacing, so can you explain a bit what this means? I know being able to pick up the signal (RSSI) is the issue, but what needs to be done to fix that? Do you need to create code? Do a hardware modification? I appreciate what you can break down for me...

Hardware has to be there, its part of the BT chipset.

It's most likely a software block, or a hardware block.
It's easy to tell a computer not to solder a point on a a board, or have something jumped different.
We really need tear down pics from the guy at the phone graveyard.
I'm so not going to tear apart my phone for science. I would however, if somebody bought me one to tear apart. =)

I talked to a guy who is going to do a tear down on a CDMA Sprint Touch Pro.. His results will be out in early December... I asked him to specifically find out if the FM Radio hardware is there and if there is any hardware block on it.. He will be posting picture too so we can all see them..,
