Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

Has anyone else lost there sound notification for text messages and email after changing the name of the ActiveSync folder? This is the only thing I did today. Under settings and event sounds I turned it on, for some reason it was turned off. I did a soft reset but still not getting any sound when I receive a text.

Changing the name of that folder is whats causing my issue with the sound. I changed the name of the folder back to what it was originally and got my notification sounds back. I changed it again to test it and added the .bkp and again no sound. I also noticed that the little icon on the top didnt show up that shows you got a text message.

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

I stopped getting notifications as well, sound and taskbar icon. I renamed the ActiveSync folder and I'm still not getting any notifications. I'm doing a full restore to yesterday before I made the initial change to see what happens.

Edit: The restore worked as expected, my notifications are back to normal. I'll see about syncing with a PC with Outlook to see if that lets me remove the connection.

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

E-mail Question.

I've browsed around the site for an answer to this question, but I never saw it asked. This may be the closest thread to it, if any of you can help...

How can more email accounts be added? is there a Registry edit? if so, how?

I think I'm capped now at 5, but i need at least 9 or 10.

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

What I think my problem is, is that you don't see the folder inside TF3D however you do see it when you open the inbox and swipe from side to side. It cycles through hotmail inbox, picture mail, text, OUTLOOK. Is there any way to remove this?

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

It appears when you delete or rename the activesync folder you not only get rid of outlook you also loose your notification sounds as well. Looking at the activesync folder you see this:

Click on ActiveSync and you see this:

Name............................... Data

DLL .................................syncmgr.dll
friendlyname .....................outlook e-mail
name ...............................activesync
usercannotcreate ...............1 (0x000001)

If you open the activesync folder you have a folder in there called MsgClasses:

Name ..............................Data
IPM.Note .........................1 (0x000001)

I believe this has to do with your message notifications. So we have to delete the other stuff or change it without changing whats in the MsgClasses folder.

Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

Yeah, are you deleting the key that's been mentioned already? Like we've said, it removed notifications for the other mail accounts left. No pop up, no taskbar icon, no sound or vibration. Losing that isn't worth getting rid of the empty Outlook account.

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

yea, sorry guys, it does kill notifications. I didn't notice since I send/rcv manually.
I'll play with it some more when I get home tonight.
