In your registry editor on your Touch Pro navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc\

1. Back it up the Folder ActiveSync to a reg file that way you can restore it if it messes anything else up. You don't have too.
2. Delete the entire Folder ActiveSync or rename it to say ActiveSync.bkp
3. re-open your inbox and the Outlook E-mail listing should be gone
4. Hit the Thanks button

I have tested this myself and have had no issues. I now have only Hotmail, Sprint Picture Mail and Text Messages listed. I used Resco Register Editor, but any free one out there will do the same.

It may come back again if you make a new ActiveSync or WMDC partnership, but you can always get rid of it again til next time. Syncing normally seems to work fine and doesn't bring it back.

Enjoy
Don't do this. Your text/email alerts will be gone. It's not worth it.

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

If you have Vista, Active Sync is Windows Mobile Center. Open that, then click on "Mobile Device Settings".
Click on "Change content sync settings"
Unselect the "email" option, then save.
Sync your phone, and Outlook should be gone.

This is all based on the post by Aiverson. Note, however, that you DON'T have to delete the partnership first for this to work (or at least I didn't).

Unfortunately I use XP. So the install CD which came with the Touch Pro is what I tried (and failed) to use for ActiveSync. Any other suggestions?

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

FINALLY figured it out! Go to Programs - ActiveSuck, err, Sync.

Go to Menu (lower right) - Options.

Uncheck all the boxes under MS Exchange (Contacts, Calendar, E-mail etc.) and click OK, OK and then let it do its thing, then click OK upper right corner to get out of there.

(I think your Hotmail and Gmail, etc. accounts should remain unaffected, mine were at least.)

And now all you should have left are the email accounts (POP or IMAP) you set up plus maybe your Picture Mail account (which oddly enough in the TF3D view just shows as blank, it only displays "Sprint Picture Mail" when you click on the Inbox, at least on mine).

All you need to uncheck is the email option, FYI, but that does do it. Yay.

Re: Removing Outlook E-mail from list

To those of you who want to get rid of contacts from windows live messenger after being synced, go to Windows Live, "Menu" softkey, "Options", Sync Options, uncheck "Store Windows Live contacts in your mobile phone's contact list."
