I figured it out thanks to r1_rydah.... I looked in the directory and saw that there was a hidden file with album art but it didn't have the ~ in the front of it that the others had.

Now my next question... how is the phone getting the album art? Is it downloading it OTA? I haven't been using WMP at all, just dragging and dropping from the computer or from iTunes.

FWIW, Kinoma Play is engineered to sip from the battery as little as possible, and doesn't use more power than other players in our internal tests. I use it for hours every day on my Q9c with the extended battery.

I checked in with our support folks, and they hadn't heard of similar problems. They recommended that folks contact them (even if they're using Kinoma FreePlay) if they see unusual battery use.

what i did was created a folder for every artist (the way wmp does it) and i find my album art on amazon and drop it in the artists folder and rename the pic file folder, if you notice the sample music is set up this way< and if you want you can have any pic for album art , even your own pics

I already deleted the sample music. What format did you rename the pic to?
