Data Connecton won't manualy shut off touch pro

Is anyone having a problem with shutting off the data connection when you go to comm manager? I usualy go there after using the internet or some internet required app and shut down my data connection so I can save on battery life. I did this all the time with my 6700 but with my new Pro when I press on turn off data connection in comm manager it takes me to the connections screen where you can add new modem connecitons or manage existing connections. It never gives me the option to shut it down. Is this normal with this phone or is there a fix out there? Anyone else having this problem?

Update:So far the only way I can shut down my data connection is to put my phone in airplane mode then switch back to regular phone mode and the data is disabled.

Thanks guys
