Data Connecton won't manualy shut off touch pro
Is anyone having a problem with shutting off the data connection when you go to comm manager? I usualy go there after using the internet or some internet required app and shut down my data connection so I can save on battery life. I did this all the time with my 6700 but with my new Pro when I press on turn off data connection in comm manager it takes me to the connections screen where you can add new modem connecitons or manage existing connections. It never gives me the option to shut it down. Is this normal with this phone or is there a fix out there? Anyone else having this problem?
Update:So far the only way I can shut down my data connection is to put my phone in airplane mode then switch back to regular phone mode and the data is disabled. Thanks guys Jeremysjunk Last edited by Jeremysjunk; 11-06-2008 at 05:31 PM. Reason: to be more specific

Do you have an email account configured?
If so thats why you cant shut off your data/ When i disable my exchange server or email. i can then shut off data and it stays off./ Data and power are only being used when the arrows are white anyway

This edit allows you to see the duration of your Vision connection along with a button to disconnect it.
Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Click ControlPanel Click Phone [at this point, the buttom grey status bar should read \HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone' Click the bottom menu 'edit' Select new dword value Change the value name to "Flags2" (no quotes). Select the 'hexidecimal' button. Type 10 Click ok. You should now see in the 'name/data' section: Flags2 16 (0x00010) When done, reset the device. I had this tweak on my 67, and added it to the TP so that it will give me a disconnect button on the EV/1X icon, you might also want to go to start/settings/system "TouchFlo" and uncheck "show system status screen when status icons are tapped" so that it will give up the pop-up "Disconnect" option instead when the icons are tapped.

This maybe a stupid question but I just got my phone and this is my first Win PDA/SmartPhone. I have Vision data connection and I am trying to access internet using Touch pro. Somebody said having Vision data would allow internet access but may not use the EVDO network and so maynot be that fast. I am Ok with that but I am having issue even connecting to internet. I get an error when I try to access google.com using the opera browser. Is there a fix to this? I read somewhere making something to 1 from 0. But I dont have my MSL number. So how do I do that? Any help from you all would be appreciated. Thank you.
