No Arcsoft came with the HTC touch I got mine the day it came out and when i started it up it installed Arcsoft and it did work until around I think Feb or so but before then I had a few errors here and there. See it also installed OZ at the same time. but Arcsoft did work.

Anyhow, I saw that it is going to have MMS, but some "tech" people seem to think it is just a version of sMMS (which, I don't know what the difference is).

Sprint doesn't have true MMS. It has its own version called Picture Mail, which most refer to as MMS. With Picuremail, the media stays on the Sprint server and you will either get a text message with hyperlink to it or if you are lucky, your app will display the picture/media for you. True MMS sends you the media directly.

sMMS is basically a web browser shell for the Sprint picturemail website. It is very nicely done as well, which is why I registered it.

Sprint previously allowed picturemail apps like Arcsoft to work, but they blocked them after a while. sMMS works because its using the website rather than the protocol that Sprint blocked.

I don't use Picture mail that often as I mainly rely on email. If any of my information isn't completely accurate, feel free to add on.

EDIT: Here is a nice article which should clarify some things. I know the author back from my Treo days and he's very knowledgeable.

Yeah, I was looking through the Sprint Touch Pro manual and saw that it was Sprint Picture mail. Either way, it'll work for me. Don't do too many mms messages anyway. Just nice for me to have an option, without having to download another program.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. the diamond and the touch pro both have mms. when you receive a pic mail on the diamond, its on your phone. you don't get a link to follow.

I mentioned that in my earlier post.

True it does stay on the server but you also mention sending it directly to you. And what i'm saying is that it does send it directly to you. you DO NOT get a link to follow. So being as it sends it directly to your phone, doesn't that make it mms?

Sorry guys...I'm totally confused. So the "picture mail" that it states in the Sprint HTC Touch Pro manual is true MMS? Just want to clarify.

I don't know what true mms is anymore i'm confused  but I do know that on the diamond, when you receive a picture mail or multimedia mail, you do not have to follow a hyperlink, the media will be displayed already on the phone in the picture mail folder.

True MMS is what the Diamond and Pro have: the data is transmitted TO YOUR PHONE without having to access a server to view it. It is received as any other text message except there is an image in it.

[Not sure about this] The version of MMS that Sprint has, 'Picture Mail', is link based. The Sprint server receives the image, holds it, sends a TEXT MESSAGE with a link to your phone, and you RETRIEVE the image from the server.

Thing is, in the Sprint manual for the Touch Pro, it has "Picture Mail" listed (which described a MMS type function) and it showed the messaging screen, w/ Text Messaging, Picture Mail and Email. I didn't really read into it too much. I'll see if I can find the page really quick.

-EDIT-
Found it. Page 168-169 in the Manual. From what I read, it will work exactly like MMS, except labled as "Sprint Picture Mail." It will require registration on the Sprint Picture Mail website (if you don't already have an account), but after you've registered once, you'll be able to send MMS messages through Picture Mail...at least, that's my understanding from what I read in the manual.
