dial ##786# and look for manufacturers date.

going back to the thread, my phone is a BB purchase, MD 10/13/2008, the only issues i have with it, is a lag while typing and also while sliding out the keyboard, which are not biggies for me but the real big one is the earpiece, it sounds it has to much bass, it is barely understandable when people talk to me on the other side of the phonecall. im just waiting for bestbuys in NYC to receive their shipments again so i can exchange it.

Mine has a build date of 10/14/08 and my earpiece is messed up. Sound muffled and crackly. Just waiting for my local Best Buy to get more in stock to take it back.

No problems with mine either. I did notice someone must have been playing with mine b/c I had that flower as my wallpaper. Around the chrome edge of mine, it's slightly imperfect, but it's not really noticeable

got my first one in BB on Sunday, exchanged it for a newer one cause that one was having problems. new one is 10/15/08 build date. got some problems, the buttons on the front are creaking when i press it and the keyboard is not aligned. will wait for BB in NYC to get shipment as well to exchange it.

10/14 bought on the 24th mine phone SUCKS!!!!!! I like the phone and the features but this one sucks, constantly freezes, touch flo is extremely slow, maybe its the network or idk but one time i recieved 6 missed calls at once it rang stopped sent a new notification rangs stopped new notification 6 times in a row, screen flip in opera is very slow or unresponsive at all. Theres more but tired of typing cuz i know its a waste im sure itll all be fixed soon.

yea, my screen flip on opera is very slow or unresponsive at all as well.

I only had the usual cracking noise, and very loose top half. I took mines back and exchanged for another one and noticed no cracking or loose key board, very solid! They said thier first batch is normally garbage!

Screen flip on Opera is slow. It's not the hardware. That's for sure. You can always turn accelerometer support off for Opera if it bothers anyone.

Mine from BB has the crappy earpiece. I need to swap it once they get more in. 10/15 build date.
