Re: Phone prices and deals

- purchased for $376 at Best Buy with my $75 one year credit and the 20% off
- sprint credit of $150 to my account for my POS mogul problems
- sold my mogul on ebay for $183
- sold my touch on ebay for $151

I pocketed $108 to upgrade to my touch pro!

Re: Phone prices and deals

Another option - Ebay with the 25% Live Search cashback. Found one for $450, cashback brings it to $338. That's pretty close to Best Buy without the (now expired) 20% off coupon. I get to keep the Mogul, and I don't have to re-up my contract, which should make it easier to upgrade sooner in the future. Definitely not the best deal to be had, but better than what Best Buy would do for me. I'm in the 13-22 month range on my SERO contract... the Sprint corporate store would have nothing to do with me because of SERO, and Best Buy wouldn't budge on price and would only sell for $470 or whatever it was. I may have been able to save more by trying to phone up Sprint to get it, but they're out of stock and I'm one of those guys who wants it now.

Re: Phone prices and deals

after a little banter with retentions I was able to get one for $150! So if you dont want to pay full price be patient & expect to make at least a few phone calls.

Re: Phone prices and deals

Considering i'm not quite at the 22-month upgrade mark, is it better to talk to retention or email ecare?

Re: Phone prices and deals

Probably retentions. I wasn't at my 22 month mark either and I still got a steal of a deal. $179.99 for my touch pro!

Re: Phone prices and deals

Wow seriously people need to stop milking this. The thing about everyone calling retentions is everyone is saying that and they have already caught on. They are telling people to purchase the phone and they will credit your account. So basically your just paying your phone bill for the next couple of months. How is that saving money? And for those selling their phones. Your not making a profit I'm pretty sure you guys paid way more for your phone then what you are getting back. Think about it. I got my TP for free because I have had 5 Moguls all of which have had the same problem. I didnt threaten to call retentions I just told them we needed to solve the problem but then again I did pay retail for the Mogul when it came out.
