You want it to be at 1. Do a soft reset after you changed it to 1.

Well crap...it was at 1 before I change it to 0 and it was waking up still. I guess I will try to change it back and see if it works this time.

Re: SMS Wake Up

Awe man, I'm sorry.... lol... I do this change to make mine turn on when I get a SMS, so that's how I've tested it... Now I hope it keeps yours off!

Re: SMS Wake Up

I have mine set to 1. I did it manually and with Diamond tweaks with no luck. Anyone else using a Sprint device?

Re: SMS Wake Up

I have the same questions!!
Set "1" or "2", it doesn't make a change,when a new mms/sms ,still wakes up the screen.
So ,I think the problem maybe the "manila 2.5" or the "HTC messaging" ,but i searched the registry and didn't found the KEY WORD, so just FYI and hope find a way to fix it!
BTW,I use TD2,the rom includ manila2.5 and HTC messages 1.15.

Re: SMS Wake Up

I'm having the same problem on my Touch Pro with newest Sprint OEM firmware. In addition to waking upon receiving SMS texts, I would also like to disable wake-up upon reminder notifications. A simple audio prompt is all I need. I have S2U2 installed and disabled it, soft reset, but still have the problem. I too did not have the registry key but added it as a string value. After a soft reset I was still having the problem.

<edit>
I read in another thread that the entry should be a DWORD and not a string. I made the change, rebooted, and the problem persists. The thread mentioned that if the DWORD value does not currently exist in the registry that that phone must not support it.

Sort of fix

I installed the program from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624206

and when my phone is in my pocket and I get a text, the screen immediately turns off when a text wakes it up.

Not the most ideal solution, but it works, at least on my TP2.
