Re: Remapping calendar to TF3D

It would be great if I knew how to globally assign PI to all of the things that it's supposed to be- tasks, contacts, notes, and calendar. I'm too scared, lazy, and/or ignorant to attempt all of those, however.

Re: Remapping calendar to TF3D

As far as I know, you could do that using the original post's method since it now supports more than just calendar. The problem I have with that approach is that it's such a cumbersome process for users, and since I don't use PI, I'd have to jump through a lot of hoops to test it (not to mention yet another hard reset, lol). Next time I have to reset, I'll give it a shot, but I'm not ready to do that today.

By the way, I posted the updated cab that adds _mpman.exe to the Task Manager Exceptions list, although I added it to the System exclusions since that is more dependable.

Re: Remapping calendar to TF3D

_mpman.exe doesn't exist before the patch. I can post manila.exe, but it would help to know if you did the edit by hand or by using my cab... if you did it by hand, just use the program to restore backups. If you used my cab, did you try uninstalling it?

For me, these posts and version 0.2.2.2 were the answer to almost all of my desires. The key was pointing to PITab instead of PocketInformant and using the number of the desired view in the argument.

No link to Tasks yet, but hope springs eternal.

One more time, thanks to all of you guys for all of the help and direction.

Re: Remapping calendar to TF3D

Thanks, I used this to re-map clicking on time to take me to g-alarm and changed the calendar default view on click to month view, which I much prefer.

Re: Remapping calendar to TF3D

I re-mapped the default alarm to G-Alarm. I still get the default windows alarm screen briefly before it starts G-A. Then when I click "Ok" it goes back to the default windows alarm screen.

Is this normal?

I thought that once I mapped in G-A in place of the default alarm I wouldn't have to see that screen again.

appreciate any feedback/help on this.

Skid
