LOL, there are plenty of people like that around........

I have done pro action photography for years. I use a $5K DSL for that, but it never occured to me that someone should buy a camera like that to replace their camera phone..........(my DSLR with lens weighs about 15 lbs)

Exactly! A DSLR should never be considered a portable solution for anything. I mean with the usual accessories, it makes it hard enough to get through airport security.

Re: Horrible Shutter lag

By the way, I don't quite get why the TP has such a ridiculous shutter lag either. I don't expect it to be lightning fast on the trigger like a DSLR, but my wife has a two year old Samsung flip phone that takes great pics (for a camera phone) & hardly has any lag at all.......

I agree. My wife's Diamond is even worse about it than my Touch Pro.

Re: Horrible Shutter lag

Im selling my old sanyo m1 to a friend, and man, looking at the old pictures in that phone makes me realize how good these cameras can get. It was only 2mps, but it had autofocus and took pictures at lightning speeds, hardly ever a blur. Don't even remind me how good it took videos...

It really has to be a software problem here. HTC has to know how bad this camera is.

Re: Horrible Shutter lag

Has anyone tried some of the camera tweaks in the camera section of the Diamond Tweaks app? There is an option there for burst and sport as well as burst and sport resolutions. With burst (and a large enough storage card) you could increase you chances of a good shot even though that is not a solution to the problem. Sport mode sounds promising though. If it does what it's meant to, that should cut down on the shutter lag.

No, actually I am not. My point (though, admittedly through a bit of hyperbole) is that a camera phone is not ever going to be as good as a standalone camera. If quality pictures matter, even a 7-8 mp standalone snapshot camera (like an ELF of something of the sort) will take much better pics than anything on a phone.

Re: Horrible Shutter lag

Has anyone tried the sdhc card in there phone to see if that helped when i upgraded my Regular Digi To the sdhc out of the box it was almost instant instead of the delay that it had...
so with that in mind why don't someone try an sdhc card in the T.P.
to see if that would help...

Just my .02 cents
