Yes, core player on the TP does.

All you have to do is hit the power button on the top of TP, it turns the screen off and the music still plays.

Kinda dissapointing and stupid if you ask me. Opera comes out with new versions and offer upgrades (free if necessary) and CorePlayer comes up with this garbage...

Oh well...if I can't try it, I wont spend on it.
I'll always stand behind Coreplayer.. It is well worth the investment, as it is smooth playback, and plays _any_ files I throw at it.
Although for music, I still prefer TCPMP, just because it is simpler, I only use Coreplayer for movies.

Re: Good music player?

I really think everyone here who has not tried S2P "Slide 2 Play" should stop right now and check it out:

Portrait and landscape support....landscape goes into "cover flow" mode

Intergration with S2u2 (SLIDE TO UNLOCK)

best of all it is free!

More info can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=417511

Download both s2p and s2u2 here: http://www.ac-s2.com/

Re: Good music player?

Are there any music players that sync directly with itunes for easy integration? Having to move stuff over to WMP is a pain =/

Also FYI, AVI is a container format, not a compression...that is, you can have an AVI file which is encoded via DiVX and another that is compressed with xVid and without the proper decoders you won't be able to play em.

Re: Good music player?

So I tried out that mort player guy...and while I like the skin the way to select music seems awful. I like Audio Manager because it keeps the menus current...in Mort I can't select to play "all songs" which is a must for me. Also, I use an 8 GB card so by having Audio Manager have everything pre-loaded is a must...I might try out Coreplayer but I would need to see shots first. I appreciate everyone's help in this...it's just driving me crazy. If the Sprint player would keep a cache of everything or something it'd be great, but it freezes up constantly plus it doesn't have a stand alone player which sucks. Mort would be fine if the file selection wasn't so awful. Ideas?
