Actually I just seen this thread tonight and fired up my registry editor. Come to my surprise it value of 20000 was already there.

I am however using Juggalo .06b Sprint Rom

I have been experiencing FANTASTIC battery life, but thats just me.

Well, don't know if it needs to be cooked in or not, but that tweak didn't exactly go as planned...

[STORY]
What basically happened is that it forced my EV-DO connection to stay at 1X. No matter what I did, I could not go back to EV-DO from 1X. Furthermore, when I soft reset after making the registry edits, the battery percentage was significantly lower than what it was before the reset.

After this tweak, my data connection was also set to OFF. All my applications which required the use of a data connection still worked...except for OPERA.

So, I undid the tweak (back to 5000), soft-reset the phone, and all is good again (well, except battery life).

i performed the hack on my default sprint rom touch pro and so far so good.. no problems getting evdo service and battery seemed to improve.. i am still monitoring

This minimizes the amount of times the phone polls the battery. This is what improves battery life. Just in case you were wondering.
