What are the first modifications u do on your HTC touch pro when u receive it ...

with WM the amount of modifications are endless ....

some that come to mind now :
FIRST from what i am reading, hard reset device right out of the box:
1- start>settings>system>clear storage
2- With the phone OFF, press and hold the volume down button and the ok (center of dpad) buttons. While holding those buttons down, power on the phone, keep holding the buttons until a message is displayed about pressing the volume up button to hard reset or any other button to cancel. If that message does not come up, repeat (from power off state) until it does.

Now lets play!
@ The green WM6 startup screen ... you can change the windows file

Now u will have your own custom picture instead of that terrible green picture

@ To change sprint startup animation go to: registry

Are there ways to enlarge the sms typing area?
you can use the freeware "TOTAL COMMANDER" and edit the file thread_sms.html. You can do a search to easily find it...windows directory.

look for this part:
<inbox:content id="COMPOSESUBECT" width="98%" height=35 spell...

and play around with the number in height (in this case 35). change to 70 and get 3 lines for text replies. Just change the numbers and see what works for you.

*you need to soft reset after editing the file.

Disable auto-wakeup when keyboard is opened
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\DeviceMap\Keybd] Create new dword "SlideWakeup" with value of 0 and soft reset. To revert, delete the key or set it's data to 1.

To save cache to card instead of device on opera
open opera, type in opera:config when that opens scroll down to "user pref" open that and scroll down till you see"cache directory 4" and highlight that so you can change it. change it to"\internal storage\opera9\cache\ then scroll way down to the end and save.

Disable SMS Sent Notification:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs] Set SMSNoSentMsg to 1

Change Screen Sensativity
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel
Value = PressureThreshold
Change from the default dword:00000027 or 34 to dword:000000f0 or 240 in decimal.

Turn off startup aninmation and sound:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation\ -> rename both “StartupGif” and “StartupWav” to other names.

Hack Internet Sharing to work:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] Delete Extension key, set/create MaxCMCon=0 (decimal). [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings] Set ForceCellConnection="Sprint"

Increase TouchFlo's sensitivity, so you don't have to push as hard to scroll:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings] increase FingerPressure. Default is 16. I changed to 128
Higher = more sensitive, lower = less sensitive.

LowBattery Sound Location:

TF3D has an extra row of blank spaces , Unfortunately u cannot add programs to it
Open the registry editor and go to:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher
In there you should only have keys 0-17. Just delete any additional key you find there (i.e. key 18 and above), do a soft-reset and you're done

To get the camera to save videos / pictures into the \My Documents directory instead of the DCIM one? (on the storage card).
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\General\EnableDCIM set the value to 0.

Disable G-sensor in Opera while keyboard is out
that way it won't switch on you if you are laying on your Side surfing the web with your keyboard out
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCSensor\GSensor select "KBDSlideOut_To_Stop_GSensor" and change it from 0 to 1.

Detailed-How to change Start text

2. If you don't have a String entry called LandscapeMenuLSKPath, add it.
3. Edit LandscapeMenuLSKPath to the program you want the left soft key to run (e.g. \windows\operal.exe)
4. If you don't have a String entry called LandscapeMenuLSKText, add it.
5. Edit LandscapeMenuLSKText to the label you want to use for the left soft key (e.g. Internet)
6. Repeat steps 2-5 for the right soft key (LandscapeMenuRSKPath and LandscapeMenuRSKText)

Remap Manila Portrait softkeys:
HKLM/Software/HTC/manila/
HomeLSKPath, which is the left softkey (Standard = Phonepad)
And
HomeRSKPath, which is the right softkey.
If you change these with the location of the programs you want to link to, and simultaneous change the names:
HomeLSKText = Left softkey text
And
HomeRSKText = Right softkey text.
(If u want the original delete both text of right softkey)

Remap Windows today softkeys:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Today/Keys/112 (left Softkey)
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Today/Keys/113 (right Softkey)

--> Using Advanced Config, change File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072
&
--> HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs and change key Cachesize from 16384 to 32768

ADD disconnect sound / vibrate for when u end call:
go to registry editor:

Edit the "Script" value so it is "pv2"; p=play sound, v2=vibrate for 2 seconds...
When you end a call, press the end key twice. The phone won't vibrate on the first press (just processes sound), but it will react on the second press. When it processes the second press, the phone will play the sound and vibrate.

Change "Reply All" in poutlook back to "Reply"
- [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Servic es\OutlookEnhancement], set module to an empty string. TO revert, set module to "\\windows\\OutlookEnhancement.dll"

Having trouble sending picturemail if u installed .NET Framework 3.5
Uninstall netframe *...uninstall sprint picmail update*
Install netframe first*... then install picmail update*
update profile
*perform a soft reset after each uninstall and re-install

First you need to edit the registry:
Change HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\EnableServerEdit from 0 to 1

Now we need to change some settings in the Pics/Video Options (under Menu) in Text Messages in Pocket Outlook.

Tap on Sprint in the Servers Tab.
Change where it says Connect via: from The Internet to Sprint.
Now receive will work.

If you can't send an MMS change the server address from http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms to http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms

..To increase the send and receive limit..
HKLM\software\arcsoft\arcsoft mms ua\ config\ ui\ size limit.
Edit all of the WAP sendlimit and WAP reccvlimit settings to 5512000, so u are able to send and receive up to 5.5MB messages..
