Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

Mine clicked until i took a close look at the cover.... there are two small tabs in the middle on each side that were no fully in their grooves when i closed the cover. i took the cover off and carefully put it back on, making sure they were in their grooves...now it doesnt click at all.

My clips are definately seated properly. I know what you're talking about and it is painfully obvious it's not installed correctly if you don't have those clipped right.

Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

Min creaks a little when squeezed on the top left and right sides, otherwise, no "clicking". It fits quite tight. I voted Yes because I suppose creaking would count the same as clicking?

If your clicks, double check to see if the battery cover is on all the way. It's a really tight fit, and not nearly as easy to push on as the 6900 Touch's battery cover was. The battery cover for the Touch Pro is much thinner, less to push on.

Lightbulb Clicking / Creaking Battery Door Fix

Very simple and cheap to fix. All it takes is tape. (I used blue painters tape)
  1. Squeeze your Touch Pro and take note of where exactly it "clicks" or "creaks".
  2. Remove battery cover.
  3. Apply strips of tape on the inside of the battery cover where the creaks are. (basically a mirror image of the underside of the Touch Pro, this is where the inside of the battery cover will meet the underside of the Touch Pro when you put the battery cover back on.)
  4. Install battery cover.
  5. Squeeze again. Any more creaks still, take note of where they are.
  6. Remove battery cover.
  7. Apply another strip of tape where the creaks still are. It may take another layer or two until the creaking stops. I've noticed the biggest offender is the area around the Micro SD slot, as it's the biggest gap / void space under the battery door. ( it took two layers of tape for mine to stop creaking near the micro SD slot area.)

Now, enjoy the silence.

Oh, and an added benefit is tape like painters tape has a less grippy surface, so it's actually easier for me to remove and replace the battery cover now.

Fantastic solution, and easy to assemble! Thanks!

BTW, what program did you use to notate your images? It looks like you used a freekin' WACOM!
