Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
So Ive been waiting for this phone since it was first announced. I have read everything and hoped verizon would get it. Now i see this and it is a pure let down im extremely pissed! I would go buy the sprint version but there is no guarantee that they will activate it, not to mention it will be all sprint branded. Now after my ranting i have a question; is there any way to bypass vznavigator? if i was to buy the phone i want gps but i dont want to pay for a free service. I have also heard that it still has the acceleromter and ive heard it doesnt. does anyone know for 100% sure?

Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
It has the g-sensor. The only thing gimped is the amount of RAM, and the gps is locked to VZNav... Which im sure can be fixed... I'll have more hands on with the XV6850 on Sunday, so I will see if the same fix for the new vzw 6.1 for the XV6900 works to unlock the gps on the XV6850 also...

Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
Yes, it is... Well it was running @ 528MHz, not sure on the msm #, I would asume it is... I'll check sunday...
Also VZNav has to be downloaded, it does not come pre-installed... Last edited by nemanracing; 11-12-2008 at 08:57 PM. |

Re: Verizon HTC TOUCH PRO Information
I was so excited to get this phone. Now I see what Verizon has done to it, I am so dissapointed. I really think that I am going to finish up my 2 year contract then switch to Sprint. Sprint seems to have better customer care, and phones the past few years.
Verizon is really blowing it. I don't understand them. |
