If I've learned anything in the military is to get it in writing. What you might wanna do is go back in with a nice little drafted letter saying that the Sprint store acknowledges that they are currently out of stock and have the store manager sign it. This will prove intention to return within 30 days and will put the blame on the store for not being able to fulfill their part of the bargain, thereby extending your return window. If they fail to then honor the contract, complain to corporate with a signed letter. Playing politics is a dirty dirty business

It may seem like a pain in the butt but it will protect you.

This phone is rock solid.

It does get hot, but never stops charging.

Re: Touch Pro Build Date

I just got a replacement and everything appears to be good except for the keyboard. The space key and enter key seems mushy and doesn't give you a tactile reponse when you hit it. It's driving me crazy.

I want to exchange it, but feel crappy as I just exchanged my other one and they don't have that many available at the store.

I also thought you were allowed one exchange during your 30 day trial. Does your space bar and enter key give you the same response as your other keys? A click, etc.

Re: Touch Pro Build Date

I got a replacement Touch Pro just this Thursday (I had a 10/19 build Touch Pro that I have to return because of a screen that fried out) this one's build date is 11/21, and I noticed that the keyboard isn't as stiff, and they fixed that annoying problem of the d-pad/scrollwheel not clicking where it's supposed to when you're pressing left or right.

I can't comment on the sliding mechanism being looser or tighter, because I believe my first Touch Pro was fine, but loosened up quite a bit after some miles on it. If it's still this tight after a month or so, then I can say they fixed something... but its the other minor annoyances that they fixed that make me a happy camper!

I'm talking about the Sprint version.

You can get as many as you want, as long as it's merited. After 3, however, you HAVE to get them by going to a repair store, and having a tech look at it.

Re: Touch Pro Build Date

i can exchange my 10/15 build date phone today no questions asked --

issues i've had:
1. overheating after a 20 minute phone call
2. raised home button

i'm wondering if i should just power through it - i could be getting another phone with inferior build quality -- what do you think?

If you are having those problems, I would definitely exchange it. Why let them get away with crappy QC?
