Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

Not to be a negative ninny, but why would they issue a new rom update for the Sprint TP if they are replacing it with the TP2 in the next couple of months. Sprint did they same thing with the Treo 800w, nothing really new on that one either since they replaced it with the Treo Pro.

Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

Funny thing is that from the best I can tell, Sprint was the first to acknowledge the problem and say they were working on a fix. Now, both AT&T and Verizon have released updates that fixed the problem and I do not believe they ever really admitted the issue publicly. In any case, it sure took them long enough...

I posted an email last month about the upgrade rom for the TP.
I verified it today that a new rom will be released for the the TP by late summer, early fall to fix the vc and dialer problems and the nav lag and a few other issues. The update will include WM6.5. Search Wm6,5 for Touch Pro.
Official email from Sprint. BTW, the NEW TP2 will not be released until later in the summer because Sprint just released the PRE and is about to release the Snap. So look for the TP2 in July or August.

Re: voice command not announcing incoming calls

Voice command volume is controlled by your system volume (as opposed to your ringer volume). Turn the system volume up and your VC announcements will get louder.
