[QUOTE] Check out NueROM as no2chem's given us the ability to remap certain keyboard keys - LINK [Quote]
Thanks Stroths! I found the link. Since I'm still deciding weather or not I should keep the Pro or stick with the Touch, I'm not ready for a custom ROM but it's good to know the option is out there. I also want to find out exactly what I can remap those keys to. A |

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here
Hey Stroths (or anyone else for that matter),
My wofe just got a Pro. Do you know if any of the keyboard buttons can be remmaped to use for shortcuts like for "ok" or "new contact" or new message" or something like that? I think it would be incredibly useful instead of having to go back and forth from the keyboard to the screen. Thanks! Quote:

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here
Stroths, No2chem's latest rom has the ability to map the Qwerty keys. They show up in AE button plus. His last rom had keyboard issues, but rom 217 works fine. Just another option we have now

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here
Anyone else having trouble with AEB and the back button when NOT using TF3D? I have it set for the back button to close current app on single click and open iLauncher's task manager on long hold. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Runs into problems with some apps more than others, and in landscape mode more than portrait. Sometimes causes graphics glitches, like start bar missing until soft reset, or today screen soft buttons showing up on bottom instead of application menus.
I suspect it's WM more than AEB, as I've seen the back button do weird things before ever installing AEB. Like using Opera in portrait, back button will take me back to previous page, but in landscape, it will start selecting links up the page as if I'm hitting d-pad up. Any registry hacks to completely disassociate whatever WM wants to do with this button? It seems like telling AEB to have full control, it doesn't really get it with this button, and WM is still screwing with it. |
