Re: Remap Home Soft Keys?

DiamondTweak allows you to change TF3D soft keys. I prefer this over changing the registry since I always forget where in the registry I need to go. There are other settings on this program that can be useful as well.

None for me. Although some tweaks don't do anything.

Thanks!
Check out NueROM as no2chem's given us the ability to remap certain keyboard keys - LINK

I had some issues with the volume keys permanently acting as up/down arrow keys. Kept happening after hard resets until I stopped reinstalling the Diamond Tweak. I now use the Advanced Config instead and haven't had any issues. I will note that I had issues with the older 1.1 version on my Mogul a while back.

Thanks Stroths! I found the link. Since I'm still deciding weather or not I should keep the Pro or stick with the Touch, I'm not ready for a custom ROM but it's good to know the option is out there. I also want to find out exactly what I can remap those keys to.

Rather than retype things I have done in the past, here are some stuff I shamelessly copied from XDA

Using these tips, you can remap every one of the hardware buttons. The Home and <- keys don't like being mapped with T3D though, which I explained a little more in the 2nd post.

Here is another option which I use for my power button. I made a shortcut to psshutxp and named it Long_Power.lnk. Moved that to my \Windows directory and now when I press and hold the power button, it launches psshutxp after a few seconds. I haven't tried all of these, but see what you can get to work and report back.

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

Stroths, No2chem's latest rom has the ability to map the Qwerty keys. They show up in AE button plus. His last rom had keyboard issues, but rom 217 works fine. Just another option we have now

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

Anyone else having trouble with AEB and the back button when NOT using TF3D? I have it set for the back button to close current app on single click and open iLauncher's task manager on long hold. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Runs into problems with some apps more than others, and in landscape mode more than portrait. Sometimes causes graphics glitches, like start bar missing until soft reset, or today screen soft buttons showing up on bottom instead of application menus.

I suspect it's WM more than AEB, as I've seen the back button do weird things before ever installing AEB. Like using Opera in portrait, back button will take me back to previous page, but in landscape, it will start selecting links up the page as if I'm hitting d-pad up.

Any registry hacks to completely disassociate whatever WM wants to do with this button? It seems like telling AEB to have full control, it doesn't really get it with this button, and WM is still screwing with it.
