Got IT!!!!! HTC Touch Pro for spint from Best buy - Page 38

Is anyone able to get the phone from BBY if they have notes on their account with Sprint? To my understanding, BBY can not view notes on peoples account which would mean if it says you are eligible for $150 in the notes section for Sprint, you can not get that off at BBY. I was told Sprint reps and BBY reps do not discuss what's in their customers notes section, which would mean you would have to get it from a Sprint Store and deal with a MIR!

I'm not eligible for 1 year upgrade pricing until Saturday, which also happens to be the last day to use the 20% off for Best Buy...Hopefully a Best Buy near me still has one at that point. =\ I was originally going to get it from Sprint directly, but they went back on what they said and screwed me, so now Best Buy would be cheaper.

the screen i saw at best buy does not show any notes form ant sprint CS reps. it a very basic screen with pull down boxes and you either check this or check that. there are no notes. as for the eligibility requirements, its the same as going to sprint .com and looking it up yourself. there is a pull down box if you have more than one number on the account and it says veru basically if you have any upgrade price or your anniversary date when you are able to get the one or two year discount. the bb person does not have access ot your personal records. they could call into sprint but the screen does not have any detailed info. they also give you a printout of whats on the screen.. again its as if you are going to a reseller. very basci info on the screens....

Yeah, when I went into BBY they said they can not call into Sprint.

I'm on sprint SERO which obviously doesn't work nicely with the in-store upgrade software. The woman was very accommodating and immediately called Sprint, did the ESN swap, and completed the transaction. It takes a bit of luck to get the right sales associate, but after you do, it's all good.

Just went and got my HTC Touch Pro.. 239 out the door. I got the 20% off rewardzone, but it's recommended to print out the ad or promotion info from the website because they were clueless on that, also be sure you have your rewardzone card or a temp one from the website. This phone is much snappier than my diamond ! the panel that pops up when you open the keyboard is a nice feature. Reset on the outside is nice too. The battery cover is a bit more difficult to take off though than the diamond. Screen protector went on better as well than with the Diamond.

Got mine last night in Mesa, AZ for $239 plus tax. Had to tell them about the 20% off, and then the operations manager had to enter his code for getting me the discount. I don't think I was supposed to get the discount or the lower price for the phone, I was only eligilbe for $75 through Sprint, so I'm glad I went to BB.

They were able to talk to Sprint about my upgrade year, since the Diamond was still listed on my account. But it was a SURPRISNGLY smooth purchase.

You guys are getting lucky with Sprint and BBY discussing upgrade years!! Must be prohibited in some states, lol

My best buy had trouble getting the 20% of this morning. At first, they said it only was for a new line, but its also for existing customers with a qualifying 2 year contract. They charged me the $299 plus tax, then we had to go to customer service to fix it. This is how they were doing all rewards member coupons for the 20% discount on the phones. They have to honor it, so don't give up if they say no.
