I understand where RWCJ63 is coming from. This guy comes on to our site, has a minimal amount of posts and asks for donations for a project we've not since had to pay for. BUT, after doing some research, I'm all over donating to this project. As soon as I see a successful unlocker for VZW, I'm dropping a decent amount of cash. It'll be well worth it.

If he had taken the time to READ the first post, he would have seen it was initially for an unlocker, and he also would have seen the links that Astain provided to XDA in which its very clear how actve these people are in the community.

Instead, he apparently scanned through the OP, saw that donations were being asked for, and decided to sarcastically imply that these people are asking for a handout. I find that funny, ESPECIALLY if he has used the unlocker that was created by this group.

Did he think that all the people who donated were just fools donating to some person with no credibility? I mean....I just think his remark about it being a joke was a joke in and of itself.

Exactly.

And for th record...I myself took ZERO funds from the project. I purchased my own TouchPro and have ABSOLUTELY ZERO financial benefit from this project. The DONATIONS are for members that don't have devices but are critical to the project. DONATIONS.

"he" is here. and no. i didn't bother spending the 3 hours necessary to read each and every post, and "go to here" about the team. and yes. i do have my TP unlocked. and again, i have read so many things in the forums since i've been a member about how many of the seniors totally disagree with the asking for donations thing, that i thought perhaps it was a joke. so. before even you start saying what an idiot i am, try to understand exactly where my thinking was. things around here get confusing at times. and understand, i wasn't showing attitude to the team at all, it was the folks that started flaming me that got me going.

We're trying to finalize a few things in the RC1 candidate as we'll be releasing a non-final ROM so we don't keep people waiting. Once RC1 is released we'll want the communities feedback, bug reports, and feature/enhancement requests so we can get RC2 released as quickly as possible.
