I called the BB's in the Milwaukee area and 1 said Sunday, others say their shipment is on the way, but didn't know which day the Touch Pro would be in.

I would suggest Sprint. $7/mo and you are covered for anything that happens to that phone. You could throw it against a wall if you wanted (not suggested) and get it replaced. The most you will be out is $50 which would be if you lost it or its so badly damaged that the Sprint store refers you to Asurion (insurance provider).

I've had multiple phones replaced at no cost in store (cracked screen, locked up, etc).


On a separate note, I verified that I am first in line for the Touch Pro on Sunday as they will hold one for me. I had called in earlier this week and just went to the store to verify. I played around with the demo dummy unit and it looks really nice. Its a little smaller in every way (l, w, h) than my Mogul so I'm pretty excited.

Just called my BB they told me that were getting the TP sometime in Nov and didn't know how much it was going to be. I gave them the SKU (Thanks to whoever posted that) and they were able to find it. They just got them in today but aren't able to sell them til sunday. The guy was baffled about how much I knew about it and how I got the SKU. They can't hold phones til they are able to be sold but the guy told me that they weren't avertising the phone at all. So people in know should have no problem getting one. So BB will be selling them on sunday they just don't know it lol.

I asked ecare that very question two days ago and was told it had to be purchased through Sprint directly (telesales or store). When I wrote back that I though that was BS and requested a call I got the same answer again. I pressed the guy and explained that I didn't see why it should matter where I bought the phone, that they said they would give me a credit "toward the purchase of a new phone" and regardless of where I bought it they would be doing the same by crediting the $150 to my account. The conclusion was that if I emailed ecare a copy of the receipt from BB then they would take care of it.

I asked that he note this in my account and READ IT BACK TO ME so I could verify that he actually did it. What I got was an email that you can see below. I'd probably still recommend anyone in my boat call ecare and have them do the same thing I did but it seems like you should be able to get the credit even if you buy from BB as long as you can scan and email ecare a copy of the receipt.

"This is the follow-up to our conversation dated 10/23 regarding your
issues with the Sprint account.

As discussed, a credit of $150.00 will be applied on the account towards
the phone charges after we receive a copy of the purchase receipt. The
credit of $150.00 has been offered to you with a new two year contract."

weird..i just called one local best buy and she said they didn't have them and didn't know of them. I called the next best buy (little further away but a much bigger bb) and their mobile department said I was lucky and they just got them in and are selling them right now. She said 299 with upgrade. I asked if it was the pro with the keyboard(thinking maybe she was talking about diamond) and she said yes. I also told her that another BB said they couldn't sell until the 26th and she said they are selling right now so I can come in now and pick one up. She said she just did an upgrade and it was 299 + tax.
