Three questions:

1.Does the 20% work if you are buying it outright?

---------I signed into my BB Reward Zone, under special offers it shows a page only. I did not see a typical coupon looking thing. It also states that it must be a new line or must be signing a new 2 year agreement. If i use one of the other lines, I can be eligible for the 1 year, anyone working for BB know if this will work?

2. Are we certain that Best Buy will have the Pro on Friday?

3. Can I activate on one line, then esn swap to another and so forth.

*******Buy phone using moms number which is eligable for a year contract. ESN swap Mom's old phone back with new one. Now that new one is clear, I will ESN swap to that one. Will it work?

I spoke with a BB wireless person, she said she would be more than happy to activate the phone on one of my other lines to get the discount and then will do an ESN swap back to my number since I am not eligible. Can this work? Will Sprint 'catch' on?

I've yet to hear anyone, ever, mention the need to correct the most fundamental flaw of testing battery consumption with cell phones.

Sure you might get x hrs talk time under optimal conditions, but how many hrs with semi-standard conditions, poor conditions, and utterly dismal conditions?

Lets, for the sake of discussion, say semi-standard was starting from taking the new phone straight out of the box (no fundamental changes) and turning on BT to make a bt call while the signal strength averaging at 50%. Lets say the battery was new, and fully charged and the question is how long can the call be sustained...
My guess is about half the rated talk time. Should be easy enough to test...although still not likely to happen. lol

Also, should test for long term heat damaging. Do whatever it takes to make the phone as hot as possible from it's own sources and see what happens to it. Call it while on vibrate and see when it burns out...

This might be worth it if everything is going to be the same as far as equipment discounts. I was able to pre-order the Pro and get all my monthly services and the equipment protection plan for $97 a month, total.

I wanted the Simply Everything plan, but they wouldn't let me include the Phone as Modem feature with it, so the workaround was the Talk Only, Pro Data Pack and the Phone As Modem plans, plus the EP all for less than what I was going to pay for the Simply Everything Plan, plus I was still going to have to pay for PAM and TEP separate from Simply Everything.

I think this is the benefit of EVP. I hope it helps.
