Any idea on how much depth the extended battery would add to the Touch Pro? The depth of the Mogul was perfect and if the Touch Pro is the same as the Mogul, I'm hoping that the extended battery won't add much more depth that it already has.

To be honest, I disagree with it not being difficult...

I think it would actually be pretty hard AND cost them more money [re-running tests, get FCC approved again, delays which mean less income]

It would just not be feasible for them to change their minds this far into the game. I think they will drop the idea of changing the specs. It will most likely be what it is now.

Also, do you know if the faceted design [original GSM back cover] is still being considered for the Pro?

I just received this email. So sprint ecare can place the orders now for the Touch Pro.

I have ordered the new handset (HTC Touch PRO) and a return kit for you.

Wow looks like all that scheming and plotting to return the diamond for a TP has back fired. go figure.

I know I know the Diamond has its own legit issue but man...u gotta think that BS threats and complaints to return the device in exchange for a Touch Pro had to factor in even a little.

What are you talking about? Both phones use Qualcomm processors. Sprint has the 7501A and Verizon has the 7500. Even if Verizon pulls something at the last minute, it will still be a variant of the 7500 (ARM11) chip family.

Yes you are correct, but the delay would not be a long one at all due to the model has been approved already for other carriers, and verizon has not provided me with a release date as such for there pro. But in a way I could agree with you. Plus now that I think about it FCC is a pain! But verizon did through a point out to me today due to the model has been approved for other such carriers approvel for them would be considered easy. But again verizon is only discussing this so its not set it stone.

BTW, I edited the post you quoted. Did you read the 2nd question about the battery cover?

When we received the information for the verizon version it was explained to me from verizon it will contain a different processor which I understood I asked if its another model from qualcomm it was explained to me no, but I can always double check due to that was there corparate speaking not there engineneering team.
