Re: Is it a given that the Touch Pro fixes the Mogul issues?

The Mogul runs just fine when it is stock. One of my co-workers has a dead stock verizon XV6800 & he loves it. He has no desire whatever to tweak or modify it as it works just fine for him right from the box. Would I be happy with his setup?? No, I wouldn't & that is why I do things like flashing new ROMs, but it's not because a stock Mogul is defective because they definitely are not. ~John |

In all technicality, the Mogul was designed as a WM5 phone. A quick switch on HTC's end made it WM6

All right i gotta step in here after reading this sucker. THE MOGUL IS HIGHLY UNUSABLE! I soft reset after each app. i listen to music, soft rest, view pics, soft reset. EVERYTIME I OPEN AN APP I SOFT RESET AND I AM RUNNING NUEROM3 WITH MANILA2D!

One it may be because you're using nuerom. If you have a stock rom, and all your doing is what you said above and your phone is trippin, then your phone is truely defective. They did not build a $600 phone and you cant open 1 app, listen to music, and then you have to reset??? you're not even using your phone to its potential and your having problems, imagine if you tried running some more powerful apps. I soft reset once a day but its definitely not after running 1 or 2 small apps. i'm positive on a hard reset if all you do is call, listen to music and open up 1 app, i would like to see you HAVE to reset.

Re: Is it a given that the Touch Pro fixes the Mogul issues?
What really gets me tight is the fact that (in regards to the 1st post listing all of those issues) HTC let's the phone out of the gate WITH all these issues with the mantra "we'll fix it later in a ROM update". It's ridiculous, a few weeks of beta testing the devices would've brought about these issues. Once again XDA and PPCG have to clean up HTC's mess. At least with Apple their device works relatively well out of the gate. Yes I know the new iPhone had it's share of issues but APPLE fixed them in a decent amount of time, if we left it up to HTC we'd be waiting almost 6 months to a year.
I'm not an Apple fanboy (never owned an iPhone) but I know a quality product when I see one. Apple would never let a device as big as theirs come out with as many issues as EVERY HTC phone released... |
