I have been talking to Ecare and the were saying the phone had an "The
expected date of launch of this phone is October 19, 2008." but in a later email did not mention when it would be released. Like many i will hope it launches on the 19th but when does stuff actually release on time?

telesales has always been right when i called/ i believe it will be 2nd week of november

They never did have an official date for the Diamond, It wasn't really given till the CTIA event in San Fran. I have talked to ecare, techs, and customer support and been told the same thing over and over again, the 19th is the tentative date.

OK, I'm going to play the game...

I just now called Telesales...asked for a release date for the phone and they said "The tentative date is October 18th."

I told him that I've heard multiple dates and asked if he would speak to a supervisor....

I wait on hold...listen to ridiculous elevator music...

The rep comes back after speaking to his manager and says yes it is October 19th....but it is tentative date.

SO.....who the hell knows..

ps - One funny thing..the guy must have picked up the phone mid-conversation with someone else in the cube farm because I had to listen to like three sentences in Hindi before he finally said "Thank you for calling Sprint."

Regardless of the launch date I can not wait for this phone. Coming from a diamond the TP is really not that much thicker.

Im just going to buy a Diamond for now and get a Touch Pro off of ebay when it comes out(If I get outside my 30 days) then sell my Diamond. Im already in the process of selling my Vogue. Its all scratched up and its still up to $85 so far.

This thing couldn't come out sooner, my Mogul is beginning to act like a real creep. Its demanding more restarts and generally acting out of character. Plus the memory is weak.... The Pro will eliminate that problem.

On a side note I don't know if its regional but Staples has 8gb San disk cards for $25.00 this week. Pretty cheap considering the size, you may want to stock up for next week...
