Verizon HTC Touch Pro

I just bought this phone from eBay. I plan on using it with MetroPCS. Currently it has no service. I like playing around with it and I see that I can put WM6.5 on it, which is what I'm wanting to do.

I'm trying to follow along with some tutorials here to 'unlock' it though some of it is rather confusing. I'm new to all of this stuff.

My question is when some these ROM's say for "Verizon" phone only, is it meaning whatever provider is named on the front? My Touch Pro has the Verizon logo. (As I'm writing this, I realize it may be a horribly retarded question, but I just want to make sure... Just got this, you know? Don't want to botch the thing on the first day...)
