Re: Netripper overclock working on touch pro 1

Been running it for about a week on NRG 21679.56.3.9 (Sep 27) and battery life showed no/negligable change.
Combined with the update in the ROM, phone is running the fastest and smoothest it ever has.
CPU = 672 MHZ
AC = 604 MHZ

I was getting stalls and freezups at 710 so dropped it down and haven't looked back since.

Thanks again!

Re: Netripper overclock working on touch pro 1

Hey all - I've been working on OC'ing my TP now for about a week....I am able push it up to 672 stable, but the second I unplug the phone from the charger, it will hard freeze/lock (SOD?) and I need to reset it without the card. I'll put the card in after it boots, and reset the mghz down to 604 then it works fine. Just curious if anyone may have some suggestions for me!!!

Re: Netripper overclock working on touch pro 1

Did you follow the instructions in the first post? Or are you trying a different method?
The check time registry value of 20 is important, well really all the steps are important.

The freeze that you speak of happens generally only when just Msm7kCpuSpeed is installed by itself, it is important to install SetCpuSpeed v1.0d to the sd card and do the reg edits.

btw installing Msm7kCpuSpeed to device is what I do

What about the screen off level? Wouldn't you get better battery life if it was lower than stock?

Question Re: Netripper overclock working on touch pro 1

I'm very happy with this.

Can anyone explain why / how this OC mod greatly extends the battery life?

Just wondering.

Re: Netripper overclock working on touch pro 1

My hypothesis is above your post.

Right now I'm running at 710/604 and my battery life is greatly reduced. I ran it at 634/400 and my battery life was longer but it was buggy. I'm thinking that my phone has issues underclocking and then overclocking on wakeup.
