If its while you have it plugged in and charging, welcome to the joy of owning a Touch Pro. If it does it without being plugged in then I would say there is something wrong with the phone. |

Re: phone heats up as if it's gonna blow, gee!
Yup just had this happen again while driving. Phone got so hot (I have it in a case) that while I had it charging and playing music it wouldn't charge anymore. It helps to open the phone up. This allows the phone to cool quicker.

Re: phone heats up as if it's gonna blow, gee!
mine gets hot too. A few things I noticed
When I have the TP in Highbred mode, and I have a weak signal, it gets hot trying to keep a good signal. So, I have set my "mode of operation" to 1x only. In my area, I have found that this works really well, since evdo is available but signal is pretty much crap everywhere here, it seems to get really hot trying to use it with a weak signal. If I go out of town, to a city, where signals are WAY better, I dont notice it heating up as much. Only when there is a weak signal. So, the crappier the signal, the harder the phone works trying to get the throughput it needs. |
