mine gets hot too. A few things I noticed
When I have the TP in Highbred mode, and I have a weak signal, it gets hot trying to keep a good signal.
So, I have set my "mode of operation" to 1x only. In my area, I have found that this works really well, since evdo is available but signal is pretty much crap everywhere here, it seems to get really hot trying to use it with a weak signal. If I go out of town, to a city, where signals are WAY better, I dont notice it heating up as much. Only when there is a weak signal.
So, the crappier the signal, the harder the phone works trying to get the throughput it needs.
