Why couldnt you just flash the stock rom but put the phone into the bootloader manually. Which I always ended up doing anyway since Mobile Device Center on window 7 has problems sometimes and rather restarting the computer and phone I just put in bootloader manually and run the RUU.

Im not sure but I think this happened to me on my mogul. Bad flash ended up not having a radio on it. After a few tries of putting the phone in bootloader manually and running the RUU I got it to flash the whole thing and ended up working fine.

You might have to extract the official exe into an RUU folder instead of letting it do it on its own. Using winRAR.

I always thought that if you can get it into bootloader then it cant be bricked. But then again you changed an NV item sooooo Im not sure about all that though I have looked into a related QPST feature and are semi familiar with it.

Yea, the challenge here was that he had used some rtask commands to manually turn off / disable the radio and the device won't boot until after this is resolved.

Frankly, he may have been able to get this fixed if he had remained unlocked but the first thing I recommended was getting the stock (and locked) bootloader back on to the device.

I was thinking too far ahead to the warranty claim scenario and figured with the stock bootloader, he'd have a better chance of getting them to cover it.

Lesson being; I should have just told him to wait for ImCoKeMan, dcd and the calvary. This bootloader and raido stuff is so much more complicated than flashing an OS/SYS rom.

Ok, they said they repaired it and shipped it out today UPS GROUND..

We shall see what condition it is in when it returns.. I have 90 days of warranty on the repair.. so I guess if I want to break it again, gotta do it soon!
