Dear ,

Thank you for contacting Sprint. On behalf of our representative, I am
extremely sorry for the incorrect information that was provided to you
on May 11, 2009.

We have read your response from the technical support team. Since this
(WM6.5) upgrade is not available for Touch Pro, we are unable to provide
the new software version. The Windows Mobile 6.5 update is only
available for Touch Pro 2.

I understand how important it is to have the latest updates for your
device. However, it is unlikely that there will be an update to Windows
Mobile 6.5 for the Touch Pro, as it was not on the list of devices
Microsoft released that would be available to update to Windows Mobile
6.5. There are not updates to Windows Mobile 6.5 for any version of the
Touch Diamond or Touch Pro for these very reasons. There has also been
no announcement made by HTC that would indicate an update of the
operating system, either. The updates that would be available for the
Sprint Touch Pro would be found at e on www.htc.com. I apologize for any
inconvenience you may have experienced.

Yeah I have to agree with hamagc, As I read it seems that both Sprint and HTC told you that there isn't going to be a WM6.5 update for the Touch Pro.

Looks like one of the messages stated they were working on it. The problem is everyone knows just because something is being worked on, it doesn't guarantee it will be released.

UPDATE, Sprint is giving me a $20 credit each month until my contract expires in 2012. They also are sending me a formal apology letter in the mail that I will scan and post when I get it.
