Re: Is it just me?

Well I got my new (or new to me) TP a while back and got most everything up and running, but for the life of me I can not get the GPS to work on this one. I did everything that I did on my last one, and nothing. And I still can not seem to send email either. I can check and download my email, but when i try to send I get the message "The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again." I tried to install the MS email fix but it says I can not install it on my phone. Would this be an issue with my provider? I go though Insightbb.com

Any help would be totally appreciated!

Re: Is it just me?

You hardly I am having the very worst experience of my life with this POS! It's a miracle that I have not destroyed it in anger yet! I am on my 4th technically! It seems like every one I get is worse!!I am still using the stock Rom and have been told by many that the problem is there...

Re: Is it just me?

Well this morning I finally got my email working. I feel like a moron since it was such an easy fix. At least I now have that working. Still having issues with the GPS though

Re: Is it just me?

I too have had the same kind of GPS issues you describe. I wish I could tell you how to fix it, but mine always randomly started working again without having to change anything.
I suggest going into the GPS settings, changing them around a bit, soft resetting the phone a couple times, then changing them back to their default. Make sure when you're trying to use the GPS app, you are either outside or near a window where you can pickup a strong enough signal.

Between the quirky hardware issues with this phone and all the indeterminable WM bugs, it can be hard to diagnose problems like these. I've been using Windows Mobile on various devices since version 2002. It seems like once they got to WM2003SE, Microsoft threw stability out the window and focused only on the "Gee Whiz" factor.
Hmm... similar to what they did on the desktop platform with Vista.

Anyway, good luck!
