when changing the dir for opera to storage card..... does it make a new folder in the storage card? I do not see one. I wanted to verify it worked.

Yes. I restarted Opera, checked file explorer, and there's the new folder.

where is the email setting or were you talking about attachments on storage card?

You have to go into email settings (Tools/Options)
In 6.5.x there are arrows at the top to move to the next page (Storage)

In 6.1 and 6.5 I believe it is simply a tab.
