Returning Sprint HTC Touch Pro

I am so sick of this phone, I have tried the stock Sprint ROM and NFSFANS's ROM and the Touch Pro locks up and lags bad while charging, sometimes will not let me answer calls and lags very bad when opening text messages. What do I have to do to get it back to default so I can call Sprint and trade it with a different type of phone? I know I need to install the Stock ROM again, but do I lock the phone after or what? Thank you for helping, I have looked through the forum and see how to add stock rom and lock the phone I am just making sure I cover all the bases so they don't deny my trade for installing custom ROMs.
