Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

I'm running the current 3/12/10 build on the front page with my startup.txt with 600mhz oc and 3d forced, everything else the same. I am having problems with bluetooth, everyone says it works, my devices pair (without asking for a password) but no audio goes through them except when I end a call.

Does anyone actually have bluetooth working right?

The 2.1 build works awesome except I don't get any data, I don't recall but I don't think wifi worked either.

Jon

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

BT is not functional yet, you can find the other device and actually get it to add the device but that is as far as that goes for now. BT turns on and the functions are there, the developers are trying to find a way to get BT 100%. Sorry man, but that is how the cookie krumbles.... jejeje

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

Just chiming in to say that the only reason I have been in windows mobile the last week is because my phone either ran out of juice, or I locked it up doing something silly. I am very impressed at how well this works and the only thing im really missing is gps as I never used my camera anyway. Im quite content to wait until the Supersonic comes out now.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

hey fastrat do you remember which kernel version you updated to? Im testing out the rosie 2.1 package with the recommended rootfs from the xda thread and im getting the same squished dialpad problems. Any input would help as Im just messing around at this point.

PS- love the sense UI, its more intuitive where it puts things

This may be a dumb question, but does your phone need to be unlocked to run this?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

I was able to run it fine late last year when my phone was still locked. I had one funny thing happen once that caused me to have to hard-reset my phone for some reason. WM Thought most of my programs were untrusted or something like that.

I'm now unlocked (Did Hard-SPL and put on custom Rom), so I can't say for sure, but I think a locked phone should be fine.

Anyone else have comments?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

I tried installing it the "easy way" from post 1, but it seems to be stuck on some load screen. Does it take a long time to boot up?

can take up to 10 mins or so to boot. try resetting and try to load it again.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

ok guys i've been playing with different apn settings and what not trying to get mms to receive and here is what i have.
i moved all the apn settings regarding mms out of the internet apn. moved them all to a second apn i setup with mms as apn type.
i can still send but not receive.

but i noticed when i replyed to an mms, about the time i would receive the mms, my 3g icon at top becomes an E icon for a split second and then back to a 3g. i believe this is the mms trying to come in. i assume e is for error? like there is an error retreving the message? maybe this can help someone figure out this problem. in the meantime, i will keep trying different things to see if i can get a different outcome.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

also i noticed under the apns-conf.xml file there are no sprint or verizon specific settings (verizon seems to be having the same issue as us. can send but not receive). only generic cdma. maybe has something to do with it. it looks like every other carrier in the world is in there but no sprint and no verizon.
