I fixed my screen brightness issue. Some mentioned that changing the brightness settings on Windows Mobile might fix it, and it worked.

Android isn't a rom that you can flash yet. you copy the files to your SD card and run Haret.exe to launch it. It'll soft reset back in to whatever winmo rom you have.

oh, ok, i thought they had already built a dual boot rom which included the android os and windows mobile together, i guess that was prob only for gsm at xda. Oh well, ill try that then, thanks.

Check this out (link ommited because I still can't post them, sorry I'm a troll!)

And also for a bit of clarification, the Dual Boot Program does NOT load a second ROM per se. For it to boot Android you still have to have haret and all your files installed on the memory card, but it it will boot to them by default or when prompted. The idea being that you don't have to always boot into WM and then launch haret, etc. etc.

Seems cool, but I haven't played with it yet at all.

yeah I was just posting it as a alternative to a built rom. Only if you could make it dial a # before booting then it would be sweet.

Ok so the new build and Kernel are AMAZINGLY fast! I'm still rebooting when I try and download apps from the market, however I don't get that if i'm connected to a wifi network. It only seems to happen when I try to DL using 3g data. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks. The speed improvement is incredible though.

Also, might or might not have fixed the time drift problem. Please report.

I'm using the new kernel and the 2010.1.24 XDAndroid (downloaded directly to my phone at work). I have not observed the time drift issue since loading the new kernel, and will test overnight.

Also: appears more stable - I have played with market and toggling WiFi on and off repeatedly, both of which reliably caused a crash.

CDMA data traffic is now showing on the CDMA icon in the menu bar (I used to get just the icon, but no indication of data).

Last but not least, as you mentioned, much quicker. MUCH. Thanks again for your hard work.

downloading now. will do a report after playing with it.

ok loaded up without an issue. everything seems to be working well for me.

bugs:

no mic (did not initiate a call prior to booting android)
battery says it is charging when unplugged.
killed battery very fast (50% to 8% in about 30 mins)
is charging correct? it charged from 8% to 15% in the time it took me to type the previous line.

working:
microsoft exchange - i was able to enter my exchange settings and download emails and contacts.
data - confirmed working with no tricks
U button - it's working!

much much faster than previous versions. i will play with it throughout the day to see if i can find anything else for features working/not working.

I can't wait to get home and hop onto my wifi. I really think it will improve the stability. All my reboots really appear to be data related but all I can prove is a correlation not causation.

still running and running strong. emails and texts coming in no probs. i'll try to run it until tomorrow to see if it is stable enough to really use yet.

does anyone know of a weather app for android? something similar to manilla where it will put weather conditions on the home page?
