I android reboots WAY too often for me to use it as my main OS. As much as I would love to it doesn't seem stable enough. What startup files are you guys using?

Are you using the "force_cdma=1" option in your startup.txt? It seems to be a little more unstable with it on, but I have not taken it out to test the latest kernel with out it.

Ok updated Prepack of the files are here. It includes the new data.img and kernel.

you might want to re-upload as I believe the archive is corrupt. I downloaded it twice, same errors both times:

! XDANDROID-1-31-10.rar: CRC failed in XDANDROID.24.01.10\AndroidApps\Core\AlarmClock.apk . The file is corrupt

! XDANDROID-1-31-10.rar: The file "???" header is corrupt

Nope it's not in there.

Me too, actually - I'm willing to deal with battery life issues in favor of functionality & keyboard. I suspect that the battery issues and time drift are part and parcel of each other; it seems like the more my phone sleeps, the more it drifts. Perhaps that's just a coincidence.

There was a guy who claimed to have working GPS earlier in this thread. Now there, that's an improvement I'd pay for.

He was misinformed. There is definitely not GPS. There IS, however, geolocation based on cell tower data, etc.

Which, I guess, is still pretty cool.

force_cdma really shouldn't do anything on our devices.

In other news, a possibly stable fix for the missing RAM was just pushed into the main tree by MrPippy. Hopefully it'll be working on our devices soon -- it's supposed to help enormously with speed. More to come.

Does anybody knows of a way to switch from Android to Windows and back - without soft resetting?

That's not possible. At least, not in any way I can see. Windows is removed from memory completely in order to run Android -- the only way to get it back is to soft reset.
