Re: A new bug on the HTC Touch Pro
Well I have not ever heard of SmartLock, so it could be that program interfering with what you wan't or don't want it to do. Check out the Help forms on that app. Mabey theres a setting to change so your phone does not wake on any hard-key press.

Re: A new bug on the HTC Touch Pro
I think i got to the root of this issue... our devices are possessed a android demon! ( joke ) I just called sprint for the heck of it since I'm bored and asked, the guy said Sir please take you're device to a repair center and ask'em as i can't see what happens to your phone. how hard can it be to understand " my htc touch pro device randomly wakes up along causing the battery to drain at times as if it was on "

Good plan. It's funny, because I got my Touch Pro for free on Craigslist.org.

Re: A new bug on the HTC Touch Pro
i have had that issue with mine as well..well no..i still do. This issue is not related to roms because i have tried many roms and they all have this as mentioned by someone else in the prior post. i have had this happen on the stock rom as well..long before i even began flashing around. this is not a rom related problem. i had called DTS for this as well and they confirmed as well they have seen this many times it happens on its own and they didnt know what really caused it.
I tested mine as i had this crazy theory and i know now what causes this. Its that stupid sensor that is built into the earphone speaker towards the front top of your phone. i think it maybe called the proximity sensor..not sure but if u look directly above your display in that small slit where u have that speaker..you look towards the left side of it and there is a small sensor in there. I believe that actually sometimes triggers by shadow movements and causes it to come to life. I tested this by covering it with a very time piece of electrical tape and tested it for a week and LO AND BEHOLD! It never happened again. yes...after a while..it wasnt worth me having apiece of electrical tape on the phone and i removed it. |
