A new bug on the HTC Touch Pro
Occasionally my CDMA Sprint HTC Touch Pro will automatically turn on the screen. I put the phone in sleep by just taping the power button, and mabey about 5 minutes later, the screen will automatically come up. I check each time, and its not because of any new text messages, no new voicemails, no new emails, and its not because of any new notifications. I have flashed it so many times, and I have done the "Flash-Boogie" plenty of times to make sure its not a bad ROM. I am currently using Sprints HTC Stock ROM.
Any ideas? |
Re: A new bug on the HTC Touch Pro
I actually have no idea but I've had this happen to me before as well on my Touch diamond and pro too now... i usually thought i had a new sms but mmm nothing, perhaps data connection was turning off, never thought of that one myself.

If you TOUCH any of the buttons below your screen, I've found that wakes up the device. Otherwise, mine stays off. |
Re: A new bug on the HTC Touch Pro
Exactly, the same thing happened on my Touch Diamond, but I never bothered to ask for any help, since I was getting my new Touch Pro. But no matter what ROM I flash to, the same "bug" keeps occuring. Im not sure if it should be considered a "bug" yet, but its "bugging" me a lot!

I put "touch" in caps for a reason. I don't physically push any buttons down, they just get touched. |
Re: A new bug on the HTC Touch Pro
xD. Yeah, well that setting was my first thought to check out, but it didn't do anything.

The HTC Touch Pro. I just tried it. I use SmartLock to lock my device via power button. Skimmed over the hard buttons and my device woke up. |
