Not even sure what that means, I have flashed about 7 roms so far though, including going back to stock a couple times for good measure.

I think this is a function of low memory and lag, my impatience hitting buttons I think results in screens like this that take 20-30 seconds to recover from.

So, running this Emprom is pretty fast, though it is ugly...however, I got out of memory messages on anything I would do. After your page pooling modification its better, but there are still a few programs that cause that out of memory message.

What I dont understand is if 192MB of ram isnt enough, how the hell was my vogue with 64MB less and 128mhz less able to run 6.5+manila 2.0 so well???

Other than QVGA vs. VGA there should not be a difference. If its just that the ROMs arent designed for it, shouldnt someone be able to make a ROM that is? I was thinking +64MB and +128mhz, I would be living it up.

On a side note, If after a flash the phone is stick stuck on loading screen after 10min, that means it didnt take right? I have had a few ROMs get stuck on that loading screen after flashing.

Re: Rom Suggestions for 192MB TP

Did you try the ROM i posted in the "barebones" thread you were posting in? I took out almost everything you can without affecting functionality of your phone. And i also only used an 8MB PP.

The only way you're going to get a smaller ROM is by giving up on Manila and just using Titanium.

10 minutes on the loading screen doesn't sound right, may want to re-download that ROM and try to flash again.

Re: Rom Suggestions for 192MB TP

I wanted to revive this thread so I can share my results. I think I have flashed this phone like 30 times, I have gotten pretty obsessive.

In the end I think I am sticking with RSTGs Mobile Shell Rom. SPB Mobile shell seems to use a lot less resources that Sense 2.1 or 2.5, after a reset I am close to 40mb free ram and even after a day of use, still around 25mb. I will reboot often to keep it running well, but it seems the best choice. GPS works out of the box, runs well, and graphics are pleasing.

I will warn everyone, trying to run Opera Mobile 10 Beta is a no go on the VZW touch pro, just way too much of a memory hog. I am using a Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 with a version of Java that doesn't give excessive access prompts and increases the size of the fonts to a workable level.

I hope this finds some Verizon users well.
